Caramel is prominent - probably not for most but u have a sweet tooth

Burnt something. Chemical taste. Not good. Not like any caramel I ever had...

Gimmicky. Tastes like caramel and vinegar. Interesting. Glad I tried it but not sure I'd want a case of it

In all fairness, caramel in my beer isn't my thing. To the brew's credit, the caramel notes come out in the aroma and on the palate in a fairly faithful way. Unfortunately for me, those flavors come across as alcoholic in taste, even the ALC/ VOL is relatively low.

Wouldn't want to drink too much of this but the 6oz I had with my dessert. Caramel very pronounced in nose and taste.

Aromas of light hops, spice, cloves?, burnt sugar, and smokey oak. Slightly sweet, medium body, with caramel and chewy malts. Crisp finish with slightly bitter after taste.

Smooth, very drinkable, strong carmel nice dark color but body seemed to have a watered down complex.

Super smooth porter with caramel nose and subtle sweetness like syrup. Great color of dark caramel brown with a slight white head lasting lacing and sweet caramel aromas. Slightly sweet, medium body, with caramel dominant flavors and subtle roasted notes. Very smooth with a crisp finish and slightly bitter aftertaste.
A good sipping beer by the fire. However I think they amped up the caramel in 2013. It is much sweeter than I remember.

Malty caramel is heavy, but rich nutmeg and vanilla. Really an interesting porter, 100% worth a try.
