First I want to say this is the finest beer I've ever had. I rarely can afford the splurge, but it is well worth it when I do.
It has a delectable aroma of honey and carmel, some notes you find in top-shelf bourbons, oaky and richly fruity. It has a full, smooth taste. It is sweet but not overly sweet -- hints of dark fruits, raisin bread, and tapioca. On the finish you're left with a smooth and tasty coating in your mouth with the slightest pleasant aftertaste kick you get from the taste of good bourbons (think "Rock Hill Farms" or "Blantons) without the kick. The beer is cloudy with a reddish-brown, auburn like hue, and very little head which quickly dissipates.
Be sure to avoid shaking the bottle any as there are little remnants which settle to the bottom. This brew carries a hefty, hefty price tag, and is difficult to find in most package stores (snap it up if you find it). If you can find it on tap, even better, I've only seen that once. All that considered it is worth the price and is my all-time favorite beer. Cheers!

Nice dark fruit flavor with a bread and malt base. Hazy cooper colored body. Bit of a alcohol taste on the back end.

Opaque copper colored body w/ creamy tan head. Caramel, oak, fruit & bread aromas. Toffee, raisin, fruit & biscuity malt flavors. Excellent.

Good when in the mood for a sweet/malty ale, but I'm rarely in such a mood.
