Like most Sam Adams beers it leaves a lot to be desired. Not terrible and totally drinkable but when looking for a hoppy beer I'm looking for more of a challenge. This beer doesn't go it for me but would be great for a beginner who is not familiar with hoppy beers.

Sam Adams has once again produced an excellent brew. Very bitter dry-hopped flavors linger throughout. Notes of abundant citrus and pine make this IPA a MUST HAVE!
ChiHopHead - February 23, 2014
Supremely sweet, with none of the piney-ness or bitterness that I look for in an IPA.

Not bad, but wouldn't buy it again. Strong taste but typical Sam Adams

Too bitter for me! Not a fan of this at all

Nice citrus overtones. A bit hoppy for my liking.

Not as bitter as other IPAs but gets worse as you drink. Dry mouth after a few sips. Even has a hoppy smell. A grassy taste

Very good clean taste. Mild hoppiness.

Citrusy and not too hoppy. Good gateway IPA - pretty drinkable.
