thechasm442 - January 6, 2012Coffee and some malt up front. The coffee really kicks in hard after a few seconds and some bittersweet chocolate is there as well. A somewhat creamy mouthfeel as well.

jvandenplas - December 18, 2011Sam Adams Black and Brew is a simple and predictable stout. This is the perfect stout for a night when you are feeling particularly unadventurous. That being said though, it is a medium body, smooth finishing stout, and one of the better choices in the Sam Adams lineup. Because it is a Sam Adams you can't complain about the price either. I think this stout will refresh even the most discerning palate, but it will certainly leave something to be desired.
