FabAru - March 15, 2021Very rich, very good. 2020 release, ABV = 15.8%. Revolutions barrel aged beers never disappoint. Not the typical BA beer with stout or barleywine (though the more I drank the more this seemed the doppelgänger of Revolutions BA barleywine, Straightjacket; old wine, new bottles?). Esp. tired of the BA stouts, so this rye ale is welcomed. Sweet, butter pecan, toffee, plenty of rye and bourbon. Pretty thick body. Wish it came in an 8 oz can as it is so rich. As such, plan to drink it slowly or split it with someone.
davl22 - April 18, 20202019 release, so incredibly good, so much complexity from the malt and barrel, maple, oatmeal, almonds, stone fruit, rye spice, super smooth on the finish.
