Bitter.

Back when I was but a wee cucumber in some picklers's eye there was brewery tour down in the Wellington County part of the peninsula called the "Ale Trail". This self-guided tour took you through several breweries including Wellington, who at that time were but a wee startup and only just finding there way. Had they known back then that they'd go on to produce a fine dark stout as this, in a can no less, they would be astonished. I like this beer. Ticks all the right marks.

kinda mellow and bland, malty sweet but no real bitter notes. That was my original thought. Creamy off white head of negligible retention and no lace. Aromas of biscuits and dark chocolate up front which evolves to coffee as it sits. Flavour is biscuity and chocolately, with cocoa bitterness. Full bodied and fairly carbonated yet creamy-ish. Would love to try on nitro.
