waydena - February 21, 2015Dark Amber color. Decent head. Quite hoppy up front but mixed with burnt rye malt flavours. Slight tinge of sweetness. Slightly peppery Dryish finish. Decent brew.
aaf145 - August 7, 2014Actually enjoyed this rye brew.. Slight hop burst to start but mellows out.. The rye gives it a malty, earthy smoothness that overshadows the hops.. Nice combo of ingredients, curious to know what hops were used..A different take on an APA, not my favorite but 3 stars for originality.

We'll again, we have an American microbrew that is overly hopped. None of the rye comes through. This so called "rye PA" is just an American IPA. Not true to the original German style.
