Rare Vos
today 12/20/2012. I opened a bottle that was bottled 12/2011. I had this beer earlier this year but now its aged to protection: as the bottle says best by 12/12.
A: amber with a light head
S: lost of fruity notes tangerines, oranges, citrus, with some sweet spices
T: has great citrus flavor that is sweet and not so tangy.
M: perfectly carbonated and
O: originally I gave this beer a 3.5 but now its in the high 4s. Beer has refined itself and also my pallet has probably changed as well.
Serving type: bottle

More of an Amber Ale. Good not great

Very nice blend of flavor with some Belgian hops and Belgian yeast. Malty and smooth, this ale is not dark as the Brewgene description says. An amber color and only 6.5% makes it easy to have a few. I will buy again.

Light amber colored ale with a thick head and excellent retention. Some lacing.
Bright fruity and yeasty aromas with some hops mingled in.
Lots of fruit flavors, apple, bananas, pineapple and lemon come to mind. Citric hops, semi-assertive. Fresh yeast flavor. Very well balanced.
Medium bodied with a lively carbonation.
Good stuff. Hard to believe this is not made in Belgium. Complex, refreshing and delicious.

Malty sweetness with some nice spiciness. Not terribly remarkable.
