FabAru - November 20, 2021I love the base beer, the Belgian golden ale this is built from. But then they add 10$ or so to the price and claim its aged in rum barrels. Maybe some pirates stole the brewerys rum barrels, and they thought, Eh, lets just go ahead with it since we already made the labels. I cry bullshit on this beer. Same beer as regular Piraat, though strangely its actually slightly worse, danker, duller. Zero evidence of rum barrels. Walk the fucking plank, Brouwerij Van Steenberge!
