Not at all smoky. Strong alcohol taste with initial sips. Gives a great buzz but average or below for actual flavor.

Strong beer, not usually fan of smoked beers, but this was good, the high abv balances the smokiness well for pleasant taste, sipper. Bottle at NOIBF, March 2014.

Coca cola color with an average head. Aroma of cocoa and alcohol. Starts like a stout. Roasted body with a tingle of carbonation. Finishes dry.

Somehow refreshing. Light mid body. Hops upfront, then roasted malt finish. Slight carbonation balances alc content, but hurts smoothness. Could be thicker. Decent. 3.7
