Much more palatable than the Pere Jacques by the same brewery. Smoother but nothing I would seek out.

A crisp light (despite being dark) Belgium. Slightly thin on the finish.

Nutty flavor. Full bodied. Not hoppy. Nutty aroma. Rich flavor. Heavy

Pepe Nero 2012. Pours black with huge tan head that dissipates to a thick film. Aroma is sour and sweet. High carbonation. Flavor is a little more barn-ey than the Matilda there's some maltiness in the sour. Maybe a hint smoky. It's not bad. Okay.

Light coffee/cocoa flavor. Dark Belgian Ale with a mixed flavor of a stout and BPA. Interesting mix, light to drink without heavy aftertaste. Nice combination. Enjoyable beef overall
