One step over the line with the spruce.

It is what it is... Dogfish Head was going for a piney-resinous pale ale and they nailed it! It taste a lot like Christmas smells. Ha it?s not an IPA but it?s knocking on that door. Had just a bit medicinal herby not someplace in there but other then that pretty nice!

Just ok. Not overly hoppy. Not the best from Dogfish.

Holy spruce tips batman. Average pale ale aged with spruce tips and what an impact they have. Overall a good beer but probably would not buy again. But does have a great pinyness that I've never had in another beer, even those brewed with spruce tips.

Spruce tips, uh taste like a whole limb of a Christmas tree. Medicinal. Not horrible but not for me.

Dark golden color that's slightly cloudy. Refreshing pale ale that tastes like a IPA due to the spruce tips but less bitter. This is a beer you can drink all day. I rated this beer 4 stars but the more I drink the higher the score goes. Now 4.5. Would I buy this again. Yes! It may be in my top 10.

Don't go for one of these unless you like IPAs. Very grassy hop flavors. More hops than I normally like but the spruce flavor helps a lot with the bitterness.
