bugs318 - December 1, 2012Had a 2010 in 2012. Pours a dark body with a full head of negligible retention, but nice lace. Aroma is slightly of chocolate malt with a roasted hint alongside raisins and a bit of caramel. The taste is excellent: sweet in a roasted malt-backbone kind of way with just a hint of candied fruits and anise. Full bodied and fully carbonated, and just plain fantastic. Perhaps my favorite quad!
In 2014, side by sided 2009 and 2011: 2009 vs 2011 09 has less licorice and is smooth sweet and syrupy as fuck but delectable
