svenllr - August 3, 2012The first thing that impressed me about this beer was its smell. Sweet and not overpowering. That surprised me for an American Pale Ale. Then the taste was the next surprise. Unlike Sierra Nevada which has a nasty bitter taste to its Pale Ale, Sudwerk's tamed its ale to a pleasant bitter. The after taste is mild and the overall flavor good. The gold color isn't pee yellow like that of Miller's but an inviting gold with hints of amber. All in all, I enjoyed this American Pale Ale.
