Whoever added this beer mislabeled it, even if dark wheat ale seems a better description, except for the full body. I have to assume 3 Sheeps didn?t change the style of their beer. Mine says, ?Imperial Stout With Toasted Coconut, Cocoa Nibs, & Walnuts.? I can?t taste anything after the word ?With,? but I do love this brewery?s labels (not the one pictured here) and beer names. Who are their artistes on staff!

Disappointing. After having 3 Sheeps amazing Chardonnay barreled golden Belgian Ale, the expectations were raised. But this is one of those stouts that isn?t quite there. It tastes like your friend?s home brewing beer that you think is good because hey, your buddy did it in his frickin basement and all. But your buddy did not hand you this bottle on the way out the door after Sunday?s game. You paid $4 for it at Liquor-rama. It?s a little malty. Good body for a stout?full. Although I?ve had a number of stouts with this flavor, it?s main flavor is something I can?t describe; I can?t compare it to anything. Melted ?70s vinyl records? Your great aunt who never bathes b.o.? A touch of rancidness? Don?t know, but I wouldn?t buy this again. If my buddy broke out a six pack of these during the Sunday game, would I turn it down? Hell no.
