Dasboots - March 30, 2013Deep dark subtle chocolate notes followed by a dark robust brewed (almost espresso) note of coffee... Warm feeling all the way down... Pleasant bitter aftertaste...
bugs318 - December 27, 2011Pouts a dark brown with a nice creamy brown-ish head that has a medium-light lacing. On the nose, cereal and fruity maltiness is more prevalent than the lesser notes of coffee, chocolate, and cherries. Flavor-wise, it is again closer to an original porter with a nice fruity graininess alongside biscuits and only a slight and balanced mocha addition. This nuanced flavor is in contrast to the bolder coffee porters of trend that overdo the coffee and hide the beer. On the tongue, it is smooth yet chewy while medium-full bodied. A very nice porter!!!
