I had it on nitro tap so no surprise that it had a full thick head. It was real dark in color. Malty flavor with just hints of sweetness. Worth trying, particularly if you're into nitro tap stouts but I'm not looking for a 6 pack.

Dark flavor. Almost like coffee. A smokey-ness quality. Darker than I like but I actually like it!

A: Mahogany brown colored beer produces a thin off-white head when poured into pint glass. Leaves a thin rim of lace with some clinginess to glass.
S: Nutty, malty, caramel and boozy aromas are all present.
T: Malt, caramel, hazelnut, toffee up front. The ethanol adds a warm middle and there is a slight bitter finish.
M: Medium bodied with mild carbonation. A bit syrupy at first. It certainly does not hide its 8.3% ABV.
O: A good but not great beer. Enjoyed it, but will not seek it out in the future. Glad I tried it.
