Smooth...high alcohol.

Not good in bottle... Only on draught

Paradox: This might not be my favorite barleywine, but it could be the perfect beer.

Pours ruby-mahogany with a half inch of khaki foam that recedes with little lacing (3/5). Hops are apparent in the nose along with a slight caramel malt. (3.5/5). Taste is orange marmalade, honey, caramel, bitterness of citric pith, and a bit flowery (4/5). Medium body, decent carbonation, holds together well (4/5). Overall- its decent if a bit hot right now a good 6-12 months and I suspect it will be spectacular.
