I cellared my bottle 2.5 years and it is smooth with a whisky flavor with a hint of coffee.

Smooth, mocha taste. Deep flavor; needs to be paired with a dessert of some sort. Sipping beer

Very peaty

Jet black in color with zero head and little to no carbonation. Has a roasted mocha and heavy pungent scotch aroma. A very silky thick mouthfeel has a smoky peaty flavor at the onset incredibly complex with a mocha undertone throughout, finishing with a smoky roasted coffee finish. Very tasty and enjoyable but feels a little thinner than what I would expect from ' black oil'. A good blend of a whiskey aged beer blended with roasted smoky dark flavors but very strong.

Couldn't really taste whiskey until after notes; little or no carbonation

Very little carbonation. Very dark color. Taste is rather mellow with notes of wood and a fairly strong smoke/peat flavor. A good sipping beer.
