Really lacking that smooth maltiness and drinkability of a typical marzen...sort of bitey.. 2015 version is 6% abv.. 2.5 stars.. Disappointing

I'm not crazy 'bout October fest brews, but this ones one of the best I've had. Love Sierra Nevada brewery. You rock (popped a top)

Golden color. Heavy malt flavor with a bitter edge. Not smooth for a lager.

My favorite Oktoberfest narrowly beating out Great Lakes Oktoberfest. Probably not a perfect representation of a true Marzen beer but damn good!
