Definitely a dark beer. Leaves a dark, nearly burnt coffee taste which is not unappealing. Very thick and heavy beer for anyone who is looking for a hearty flavor.

Great nose of chocolate and coffee with hints of dark rum and lightly burnt toast. Taste is likewise roasty and dry, but in an espresso bitter sort of way, with some rum and warmth on the finish and down the throat. Full body and moderate carbonation I wouldn't mind seeing tempered some but this is much more imperial stout than typical porter and delights me highly. Wish I had another to put some age on!

Less a porter more a stout. Considering the outrageous price this is a disappointment. Taste is subjective and some may find this of high quality but I don't and wouldn't buy it again. Innis & Gunn Rum finish much more appealing.
