Pours opaque dark chocolate color with thick dark tan head. Light chocolate aroma. Thick full feel strong flavor with hints of chocolate and coffee. bitterness that lingers.

Too hoppy for a stout, overpowers the coffee and chocolate.

Red wine nose. At first the flavor doesn't know where to go, it's an interesting mix of roasty malt and a smoky almost red wine flavor to go along with the aroma.

Rich and smooth stout.

Not bad. A bit generic for the style but I like that bourbon kick.

A little fruity for a dark but tasty if you want floral hints

Full disclosure: I used to be a huge stout fan but my tastes have changed, but felt like one tonight. This one is decent, good alongside my turkey chili but not sure I would enjoy it drinking it on its own. I like that it's not too bland, a tiny bit of hops come through, but the finish is a bit off for me. Maybe I'm just not into stouts anymore...
