ShadManJ - March 18, 2017Don't know if there are multiple variations of this brew, but ABV is 8.1% per the can, not 9.5% as shown in the details. Very good American black ale, smooth, moderately hoppy, very slight malty taste. Shares the properties of both an IPA and a stout, both of which I love. Light coffee and slightly nutty (dark walnut) taste. Great beer!

wesleyboston930@yahoo.com - October 8, 2013Great beer! If you blind feed me I would never guess i was drinking a black ipa. Floral almost a chocolate strawberry nose and great honey middle and not very malty good hop finish. Odell always delivers
csalt - January 26, 2013Decent black ipa. I would say this is a little more stout than ipa. Decent hops but a bit darker and maltier than most ipas.
