Aroma:
The over all scent is of a very ripe plum. Underneath are strong hints of chocolate and sugar cane.
Appearance:
A deep garnet that appears black without a light behind it. It pours a light kaki head with medium body.
Taste:
The over all word here is cream. There I a strong cream taste and mouthfeel to the whole thing. Underneath is a light coco flavor. This combines with the cream to make a beautiful milk chocolate aftertaste. The aging has mellowed out any hop bite that might have been there, leaving just a slight balancing bitterness.
Overall:
A great specialty beer. Truly lived up its labeling as a Rich Creamy Bock Lager. Not something your going to get a six pack of, but if you're relaxing after a nice meal or with a raging snow storm you will not go wrong. Just for fun I got #3534 of 3800.
