Too bitter, not super rich. Almost a hoppy aftertaste.

03AUG12, Flying Saucer, Nashville, TN Can Dark Stout. Definite chocolate aroma but it dies out with the flavor. Almost has a tiny bit of tartness/sweetness to it, finishing with some bitterness. Very interesting drink, but not quite an oft-repeatable enjoyment drink. Still decent, though. Says farmhouse and stout on the can.

One of the best canned beers.

Preponderant tartness almost negates malty backdrop. Goes down easy, but not much fun. Butternuts' weakest entry.

I'll say that if Southern Tier 2x Stout and a Guinness had a baby... it's name would be Moo Thunder
