Tasted this brew for the first time on tap in Norwich CT. The hops come shining through with this beer. I would like to try a bottle to see the difference if any. Decent lacing on the glass.

The pouring of the beer reveals a mediocre looking head. The color is a very deep Amber. It is a very thick beer. The nosing I would describe as a bitter orange. The taste is back of the tongue bitter. Not a floral hops at all. This gets an ok rating. I went to the original shipyard brewery and had this beer. The experience at the brewery was much better.

Lighter than my taste calls for. Little red color. Smooth with a slight bitterness and after taste.

A little bitter. Goes well with steamed clams and shots of Old Crow.
