Pours very dark brown with a microfoam, tan, long-lasting head. Broad lacing. Good aroma, but slightly disappointing flavor. Not like any other porter I have had--it is less sweet and caramel-y and more hoppy/bitter. The coffee was not as strong up front, but quite strong on back of tongue, in the throat, and long aftertaste. Mouthfeel a lot thinner than I expected. This will not be a "go to" choice for the future. Not "bad;" Just not all that good.

Good porter, not overly coffee-y but still missing something, not sure what

A little too bitter

Not too sweet, like semisweet cocoa powder, which I found to be quite refreshing. Had in Astoria December 2016.

Somewhat bitter and would prefer a hint of more mocha flavor

A bitter mocha. Not the sweetness you thought you would get. A little watery. Gets better as it warms
