roc_rktec - May 12, 201306.20.13 - Notes of honey, raspberry, and blackberry. Extremely smooth deep caramels and berries with surprising tart finish, with no burn.

tenthandjordan - March 25, 2013At industry in nola. Delicious. Smooth no hops. Chocolatey. In bottle.

tangentdivison - January 28, 2013Like a slightly more boozy chimay. I really like it. Very smooth but With warm bite considering the 12%. Warm dry fruity notes, sweet side as well, very complex. Worth another try for sure.

ishkybob - January 6, 2013Sweet, raisin nose. Chocolate pour. Rich, malty sweetness full of sticky fruits and a hint of caramel.

crloger@gmail.com - November 9, 2012A good quad. All the expected favors except that alcohol is extremely hidden. Not as complex as the rochefort. Also metallic flavor somewhat spoils it

bugs318 - June 18, 2012 The nose is dominated by sweet plums, caramel, and bready yeast. It is dark brown with a fantastic creamy, tan head with superb retention and smooth lacing. It is quite sweet in flavour as well with faint hints of chocolate alongside the ever-present dark fruits, but this sweetness is pleasant to me as it hides the ABV that could otherwise take over. It brings a fairly full body with a medium carbonation, but perhaps not quite enough of a drying finish (if somewhat present) to balance for the sweetness, but it presents those notes so well, that this 'flaw' is, at most, negligible! Grade: A
