From the 2014 saranac 12 beers of winter, new this year, dunkel style lager Ruby red in color with a slight white head and malty aromas. Very thin and light it doesn't have much distinctive flavor at all and does not really taste like a spiced winter warmer. Has a malty sweetness and an odd watery finish. Disappointing

Decent lager.. Subtle malty character.. Wish it had more of that nuttiness that the bottle describes but not that heavy and another respectable winter brew by saranac..could put down a few of these..3 Stars
