aroma is, of course, malty. Taste is sweet throughout, but dries somewhat after a rich port-forward beginning though the dryness is supplied mostly by the strongly warming ABV. Creamy and nice... Would love to try it tempered through cellaring, but draught doesn't provide that option! Currently it holds promise, but it is presently sweet and syrupy enough to mimic a wee heavy 4.25 On Randall: adds an excellent grassy fresh nose and earthy spicy taste but tastes a bit like wheatgrass. A shade higher in aroma and a shade lower in taste for me
