The only good thing about this is the alcohol content. Doesn?t taste like a true barleywine. Too hoppy. Should have known based on the stupid label.

Not heavy on the hops. A little plain?

Malty with hop bitterness, not perfectly balanced for a barleywine. Good.

Balanced with a malty sweet flavor. Fruity. A little light for a barleywine. Nice ruby-amber color. Delicious- perfect for a snow day lunch!

This is awesome. Pours burgundy with thin lacy head. Smells like a caramel apple. Tastes like candy, plumbs and apple. Finishes smooth

Very heavy. High alcohol content.

Defined dry fruit flavor. Its sweet, but not a heavy finish like a bold sweet wine would leave. Smooth almost syrupy mouth feel. 10% alcohol but not too hot. I'm not a barley wine fan but this seems a good barley wine for a beginner.
