rick_tony@hotmail.com - March 9, 2017Very sweet. Tastes like caramelized sugar. Nice Belgian quad but I prefer rochefort 10. 11 percent alcohol very well hidden.
codehead - November 15, 2016Had this in Ieper while attending the 11 November remembrance ceremony. Wonderfully complex flavor profile, with more than a hint of Belgian sugars, this is one of my favorite Belgian quads, in the same league as with Straffe Hendricks and Rochefort 10. Massive 11 percent ABV, but so well masked you just don't realize it!
kippgc - May 28, 2016Dark and thick with a creamy head. Malty and sweet with a hint of (tobacco?). Definitely hides the alcohol. Reminds me of the iced tea my mom used to brew when I was a kid. Excellent finish to a meal. Worth seeking out!
pagnani - November 7, 2015Almost slight cherry taste to this very strong (11%) brown. Had in Prague. Ordered the rouge (got this) was pleasantly surprised
