svenllr - June 1, 2013Tasty, tasty, tasty is this hoppy IPA made from rye. Based on a suggestion from a friend, I gave this a try at Karl Strauss Brewery in Carlsburg and am I ever glad I did. It pours a dark red with a thin head. The taste doesn't scream high bitter much like Laginitas' Hop Stoopid. I asked the bar tender what the gravity was but she wasn't sure but by the smooth taste of this wonderful rye IPA, it's obviously high. If you are scared by high IBUs, don't let the 90 steer you on this one. It's delicious!
RevPants - November 23, 2012Creamy smooth with bittersweet chocolate and minor notes of vanilla. A thin bright hop profile runs throughout.
