Mapwhap - January 17, 2015Possibly the most unusual beer I've ever tried. This is an "Imperial, smoked, black, rye, oaked, raspberry IPA". And yes.....it was actually VERY good! Raspberry and hops on the nose, an immediate taste of raspberry, followed by bitter hops, followed by oak and then smoke at the back of the throat. At 10.3 ABV, this was definitely one to inspire deep thought and philosophical rumination. And I got to keep the unusual glass! Kafka himself would have found much to ponder in this brew.
