Very sweet and syrupy. Alcohol is well hidden. Good sherry, molasses, and dried dark fruit presence.

Closest English barleywine to Thomas Hardy Ale, my all time favorite barleywine.

Somewhat potent, a bit woody with the sherry figuring prominently. A good sipper.

Not to my palate. The cask aging lends a flat beer and the high alcohol seems to require an excessively malty character .
