First item of importance: Overpriced. The waxy cover of the bottle cap probably cost. $5 by itself. Deschuettes continues to underwhelm. Not that the beer is bad, but if you charge $20 for a beer, it has to amaze. (I got this on sale; probably no beer is worth $20.) Jubel could use more than its less than medium body. Strong beer has fig, caramel, date, molasses, and maybe, maybe a little Pinot noir on the finish. Dry, not all that sweet. Hearty, strong, decently bitter. But really little to no barrel aging in evidence., annoyingly and false advertisingly .Verdict; its good! But would not buy again. Note: not as rich or compelling when cold but stillgood and less hearty.

B+. Very complex, spices are there, but contribute too much bitterness. Had it again and it was past its prime and oxidized. A D in 5-22-24.
