A really excellent bourbon barrel aged ale. Nice medium+ body. The amount of bourbon in the bouquet and taste is typical of well-made barrel-aged beers?that is, it?s a pretty strong characteristic of the flavor. This is labeled as a brown ale, but had it been labelled just an ale, or even as a quad, I would have thought it more appropriate. This is actually good cold, but let it warm up like a quad for the full flavor to come out. Sweet & boozy?a great combination!

A. More like an old ale than a brown, but very smooth with a good spicy rye whiskey presence.

Aged in a rye whiskey barrel. It was a standout at the 2016 Appleton Beer Fest that Flanigans sponsors. Buy.

Nice sweet bourbon-y nose. Dark brown color. Good strong malty taste with strong whiskey tones. Thick mouthfeel with boozy finish. Will buy again if I find it

Not as flavorful as I had hoped it would be. Worth trying once, but I will not buy again.

Great whiskey barrel flavor and a punch. Definitely a destination beer.
