Not the hoppiness I was expecting but still a pleasant sweetness at the forefront with a complex finish. Not my preferred style but still good stuff!

Not much of a head; brown color with a slight hint of orange; strong malt backbone with mix of dark chocolate and roasted nut flavors; hoppiness really isn't there. Despite strong malt, the finish is nice and clean with just a little residual sweetness; there is also kind of a small bit of wine-like cloying. A superb doppelbock.
