Heavy booze presence, almost wine flavors waking through from the Pinot noir barrel aging... Coffee notes hit you late.. Not bad, a one and done type beer .. A sipper...3 stars

Thick foamy head. Black color. Roasted malt smell with strong wine grape presence. Chocolate and light coffee taste with wine presence. Smooth mouthfeel.

This imperial stout is aged in Pinot noir barrels. Although the fruity notes are subtle. It is unique in that it has apparent hop flavor but still a true stout. Has minimum head with slightly dense mouth feel. It has a high abv of 10.2% which I could feel half way through. Very complex roasted coffee flavor. This is a good beer to try if u like both IPAs and stouts. Pretty heavy and I would find it difficult to have more than one in a sitting. It comes corked like a champagne bottle.
