Malt/bread smell. Initial malt flavor followed quickly by a nice citrus hop finish that is average on bitterness.

Resinous and piney notes lead the way without leaving too much lingering bitterness.

Love how they went right to the line with the hop strength but didn't go too far. Great stuff.

Bottle was 6 months old, earthy hops and some malt sweetness, mild bitterness. Pretty good. Bottle, August 2014.

The Illinois has a huge citrus bite forward, with a nice malty sweet middle. Finish leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste, which is the only negative in this otherwise very nice IPA.
