Very malty and sweet for an IIPA. Nice interest to the hop flavor but too sugary.

Copper colored with hops and a hint of biscuit on the nose. Creamy malt backbone plays well with pine and grapefruit. Hop forward but it doesn't crush you like imperial IPAs can. Very very good.

Personal Note: I have to say at first blush, this beer gets a 5 star, however, it is a IIPA and there is an expectation that that ABV would be higher than the 7.5 it is. It does allow it to have a beer as a candy taste, which makes it a 4 for me.
1st Tick: Mackenzie Pub, MPLS
Cost: $5.00 (HH)

Heavy hop on the back. Smells good. dry finish. Low alcohol for an imperial IPA

Has an orange-y taste. Seems more orange-y than hoppy.

Real hoppy, almost too much but it's well balanced.
tgmBGBoy - September 6, 2013
Moderate hops, relatively clean, pleasant, 7.5%

Hops overpower the rest of the flavor. Ok, wouldn't get it again

Should have a higher alcohol content
