svenllr - April 22, 2017Like most Dogfish Head beers, this is VERY interesting. Extremely complex and bursting with a lot of flavors. At 17% ABV, this is a sipper. You have to drink this warmed by the hand like a good brandy. Fresh out of the fridge this is not good. After it's breathed like a good wine, this really comes alive. Wow, it is really good.

TVetting - April 16, 2017Aged a year and a half in my beer cellar. Mellow cherry and chocolate flavor. Silky mouthfeel. Reminds me of a nice sweet port.

bockboy@att.net - March 10, 2016B+. Sweet up front with sour cherry taste and an apple sour finish. Thick, but carbonated. Had one in February of 2021 and it had mellowed, faint chocolate flavor, solid sour cherry and thinned a bit. Rating the same.
ccbrambach@aol.com - February 27, 2016Amazing taste. Rich almost syrupy sweet but a grown up sweet. High alcohol content sneaks up on you.
