bugs318 - September 21, 2013Near black with a nice mocha head. Lightly boozy nose with some roasted mocha notes. More booze as it warms. Warming through the chest, though alcohol well-disguised behind quite sweet light roasty milk chocolate taste. Light ish medium body, fair bit of carbonation but thin.

tangentdivison - April 28, 2013Wow. Very strong flavor and very boozy barley wine taste. Too much for me, I don't think I'd get this again.

WestonBouchér - April 13, 2013For a 16% abv, its impressive how good it tastes. Smooth and chocolatey, coffee aftertaste. Not sure if I'd want an entire pint but its a perfect addition to a beer flight.

BucketHeady - January 22, 2013There is a dark roasted color and heavy pour which leaves a viscous ale with next to no head. It is rich, bitter and sweet as well as sharply alcoholic. The alcohol lingers with caramel and nut tones. Very well brewed and quite unique.....delicious!

cocamide - January 10, 2013Reminded me of an imperial stout. Sweet, malty with strong alcohol flavor. Bitter chocolate, a bit smokey, and after it warms up, the alcohol predominates.

mrd775 - December 29, 2012Kind of a barley wine on steroids. When I started drinking this, I was enjoying it. I had a bomber which I was attempting to drink by myself. In the end, it proved to be too much. By the end, I was no longer enjoying this brew due to the high ABV and the malty sweetness. I wound up pouring out the last couple of ounces which is something I almost never do. I just couldn't handle it anymore

freebeerforthepunx - December 17, 2012Pours thick into my glass like a milk shake, when I say thick I mean it this is a heavy big beer! Smells like espresso, chocolate, and booze. Tastes like an imperial stout but really boozy, again chocolate, coffee, and barley. You get the perfect amount of bitterness from the hops. This beer is amazing and strong!
