Very potent, like all Magic Hat brews, and that demo noshed the characteristic smoothness a stout like this should have. Does not pair well with any menu, best served as a stand alone drink or an after-dinner brew.

Yum! Dark a little bitter and smooth - delicious!

Bitter. Unpleasant, uncomplex flavor of strong, bitter chicory with first sip, which mellows further in/with warmth, but still subsists. Not a fan of that flavor, and not much more to flavor palate. Drinkable though. 12 oz bottle purchased 12/2012.

Nice stout, well balanced.

Nothing really wrong with it, but nothing exciting. It's a very smooth stout, nothing adventures. If I wanted to introduce somebody to stouts this would probably be a good place to start but I see no reason to go out of my way for this beer. If its all that's available it's a nice beer to drink though.

Average porter that seems to improve with warmth.

Good stout. Buy again.

Easy drinking Stout for those that aren't sure of dark beers. Not too rich with coffee or chocolate. Middle of the road stout.
