Good but not as good as the hype.

Easily the best IPA 5 yrs ago, now seems to be average or below average based on some amazing IPA's ive had based out of Vermont. By far, my favorite state for amazing brews!

Very good but the hunt makes it more than what is expected.

Great beer. Neipa but bitter like a west coast IPA.

In a 16 oz. can, from Ambler Beverage Exchange. $6 for a can?yikes?but worth it to finally try the famous heady topper. I will agree with the rest of the beer drinking world that it?s an excellent, well balanced beer. Yummy, slightly dank/light resin flavor that is still ?bright? (slightly tropical finish). Has perfect body?not too heavy or light. The alcohol content made it a bit too weighty for my taste, but imperials almost always seem that way to me?not a fault in the beer, just my taste buds. I will try it again and might move my stars from 4 to 4.5 on a second tasting.

Interesting earthy bitter hops. Unique.

Poured this baby in a glass. Extremely smooth and perfect hoppy. Taste tested it next to Uinta Detour and it was hard to tell the difference. If I lived in Vermont this would be a staple. Since I live in Utah, detour will be just fine.

I disobeyed the orders on the can and poured it into glass. It's opaque, hazy orange-yellow color, with a big, fluffy white head. All sorts of lace was left on the glass. Slight breadiness and sweetness, but the citrus really comes out with the hoppiness. Finish has a slight fruity flavor too. Medium body for mouthfeel. A great complex nicely balanced brew. Totally see why it gets such high scores.

Semi aggressive pour out of a can into a solid transparent plastic cup (sorry, on the beach) yielded a hazy, dark yellow color with very limited head. Smell is dominated by piney hops. First taste of citrus. Then bitterness kicks in. Piney hops taste to follow. Full floral aroma unfolds. Bitterness remains in the aftertaste, but not unpleasant. A veeery complex beer. I know it is hyped and it probably is overrated, but it truly IS an excellent beer. Maybe I would rate it a 4.8, but it is more a 5 than a 4.5. If you have a chance to get it, enjoy it!

It was good, but just good. I would drink it again but certainly wouldn't wait it line for it.
