Borderking - February 14, 2012Alluring color and aroma. Tasty, sweet malty, with cherry and candy notes, but the hop effect is a bit sharp and incongruous. Not overly hoppy, just not the smoothest balance. Still, a nice barleywine.
mdpmclean - January 25, 2012Pours a mirky brown/orange with a little head. Nose has sweet malts with some dark fruits. The malts are strong at first sip, but are quickly overpowered by some hop bitterness. After taste is very earthy and not what I expected. Overall, it was okay, but I won't go back to it.
