Too stout and dark flavor for me.

Medium to dark in color. Fairly enjoyable taste with a nice finish. Good mouth feel. Trappist style maybe like a triple or quad. I like it.

I'd call it a play on a quad. Very sweet, a little too so for my taste, and not quite the ABV for a quad but similar. The flavor is great, nutty almost oaky in the back ground but with that sweetness on top. Good complexity. Bring the sweetness down a notch and this would be a remarkable beer.

Very sweet strong ale, but very smooth. Like caramel candy almost. Bottle, June 2014.

Chestnut in color with a slight off white head and nutty, malty caramel aromas.
High gravity, syrupy mouthfeel has a very nice, smooth malty flavor with a slight hoppiness and a dry woody charred oak finish. low carbonation, some molasses undertones and good balance. A solid cold winter month beer from lagunitas
