Darkly sweet malts, hint of beeswax in the finish.

This is great. Don't be fooled by the alcohol, or that it is Trappist, or that it is expensive, this is crazy good. Subtle dark flavors with strong notes of something that is like fennel or anise or something. Really good.

Had at PP 2/1/13. Nice strong ale. Not as boozy as the ABV might indicate. Complex flavors, a touch of sour
