Not as great as imagined. Very fruity and chock full of banana flavours and aromas. Masks the alcohol well and good for what it is, but not my thing. This was after many other drinks... On take two: aromas of alcohol and faint chocolate. Tastes of tart cherry and smoked wood, as label says (though I don't get the rest), but also a bit boozy with a touch of sweet molasses. Lightly dry and butter finish. On cask with added cherries: better and sweeter than the original, but it was a festival, so who really knows and I got nuthin' else but the cask was nice!
