Only gets 2-1/2 stars as I have to try it again. This bottle was bottled in April of 2014 and it is now October of 2016! Just bought it yesterday so not too happy about that! Must learn to read labels more closely. What I DID get was a hoppy, tart and spicy taste. Peter said something tasted "off" and that's when we looked at the label! Live and learn!

Nice Belgian tripel...but certainly not my favorite. Goose Island does well with hints of fruit and spices; smooth finish. Not as lovely as Golden Chaos, but accessible in my neck of the woods. A little pricey for a four pack.

Unique version of a classic. Not nearly as clove/banana forward as a St Bernadus trippel - more similar to Troubedour Magma. Pronounced finish of hoppy bitterness, but with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Near 10 percent ABV well masked. If you're a fan of the style, it's definitely worth a try, even at the higher price point.

Nice try for goose island captures the Belgian spice along with the hop bite typical of goose island beers. I'm a fan
